I’m really happy to announce that I’ve started working with Paper and Iron Booking Co. for EU/UK. My contact page has been updated – go there to book me! – and we will hopefully do some special shows later in the year.
Also, my sound installation for Henie-Onstad Kunstsenter, INNOCENCE IS KINKY, is almost finished, and opens on June 3rd with a very special live performance. More on that soon!
So I’m off to NY then to play the Unsound festival on Tuesday – if you’re in town, please come to our show with the amazing Julia Holter and Julia Kent! And why now stay for the entire festival?
You can listen to tracks from the festival artists here.
Some very exciting upcoming performances: Monday March 19 @ Borderline, London, UK, playing with amazing artist Phaedra. We will also be playing our first US show on April 18 – at the unsound festival, NY. More info here.
But first, Nude on Sand will be playing in Trondheim, and I’ll be working on various projects in the spring. One of these projects is a sound installation piece for Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, opening on June 3.
AND: The biggest possible thank you to everyone who supported our amazing Australian tour in January. All we can do up here is to learn from you.
Finally, we have a London show – put March 19th down in your calendar. We’re playing Borderline with the gorgeous Phaedra, and you can buy tickets/get more info here!
Also, we’ll appear at the NOW now festival in Sydney on January 21 – yes, SOON!
AND Håvard Volden (guitarist of Jenny Hval band) and I are releasing a duo album (our project is called Nude on Sand) on Jan 6 thru SOFA. Pre-order the album here. Release concert will be @ Litteraturhuset, Oslo, on Jan 9.
In other news, I have updated the reviews section + the video and picture gallery (some great videos up now, plus new live photos from Amsterdam earlier this year). As the review section will tell you, several magazines and blogs have included Viscera on their Best of 2011 lists, which is exciting.
AND most importantly, I’m currently grieving the fact that Michel Foucault only got to publish 3 volumes of “The History of Sexuality”. *academic sigh*
Here are two lovely made videos that was filmed during our concert in Genoa a few weeks ago. (Notice the understated cover at the end of clip 2…) Wow, Italy and its people amazed me.
New song! Bloodletting:

On September 9, I’m doing a very special, completely acoustic show (organised by Konsertforeninga Havresekken) at the Emanuel Vigeland Museum here in Oslo. You’ll never hear this stuff again, at least not with the ghostly 14 second reverb of the mausoleum!
Practical info as follows, in Norwegian:
Da det er særs lite plass i mausoleet (kun 30 personer slipper inn om gangen) spiller artistene to konserter hver.
KL 18.00: Konsert-sett I (NB: maks 30 personer – kr. 150,-)
KL 19.30: Konsert-sett II (NB: maks 30 personer – kr. 150,-)
Billetter blir lagt ut for salg på Billettservice i løpet av uka.
Three new festival shows are added – Storåsfestivalen in July, Øyakino during Øyafestivalen in August, and Iceland Airwaves in Reykjavik in October.
The concert at Øyakino will be a very special show – we’ll provide music to a silent film! But which film? More on that soon…
Finally, I’m home again after two crazy months of being away. The tours have been fantastic (thank you Fikasound, Jessica, NattJazz, MIC ++), but it’s good to be able to write again! I’m now working on the wildest project I’ve ever been part of, which is a performance piece written by (the amazing writer) Inger Bråtveit and I. If you’re in Oslo on June 15, be warned…we’re performing Kvit Søppel @ Litteraturhuset. (Is it trash or thrash?)
AND I’m really looking forward to performing here! Trænafestivalen langt te havs, we’re coming back! Some new shows are confirmed, and more is coming soon.
Also, in the July issue of MOJO, there’s a fabulous review of Viscera…read it!
